Can anyone please help !!!

where can I have the application form for the Good standing Certificate from PMDC and what is the procedure to obtain that certificate...and how much time does it take for all that.

Hi, the form can be downloaded from http://www.pmdc.org.pk/pmdcform5.htm
they charge 3000/-Rs and if u apply for it on urgent basis u can get it in 2-3 days. But u have to have someone contact PMDC'c local office i dont know whether they operate abroad or not.

P.S. The GCS is valid for 3 months only so dont apply in advance.

But according to new GMC rules, after 1st Jan 2005, CGS is needed to be provided AT the time of registration or at the time of taking PLAB 2, so now we need to apply in advance. GMC will not give 3 months transitional period for CGS after registration. This is unfair and really confusing as CGS is only valid for 3 months. So if we get it now and do not get reg in 3 months, we need another one for next 3 months, on the other hand if we do not get CGS now and after 1st Jan, an oppurtunity arises for immediate registration in case of some honory or locum post, we will not be able to get registration as we will not have CGS at that time.

Dont know what to do .......

Well mate it is a problem and things dont make sense in UK that is what i have learened since i came here.What u can do is have the paper work ready and contact the PMDC office in advance specially if u r from Lahore pakistan talk to Mr.Malik Bashir in the PMDC office and tell him that u will need it urgently when u apply and he can provide u with the letter in 2 days when the time comes but gettting it in advance is only a waste of money.......

The lahore office is in Sheikh Zayed Hospital the phone nymber is 0092-42-5832694 give him a call and tell him about ur situation he does help. and i think u can have it picked by someone and they can post or fax it to u.

i am from lahore so dont now much about the islamabad office.

the CGS is needed at the time of registration. can the guest plz explain the point regardin after 01/01/05 it wud b needed at the time of plab 2, if so wud that suffice or yet it d b needed again at the time of registration.thanx

Well u need it for registration and will have to give it again if you r jobless for one year after registration God forbid that wont happen.
